F.A.Q’s

What makeup Products do you use?
I use mostly
MAC & Napoleon makeup
Redken Hair products
O.P.I Nail polish
Gel Couture Nail enamel (lasts up to 21 days).

Do I need to wash my hair prior to getting my hair styled?
Yes, wash your hair the night before Elise arrives. Please ensure your hair is dry and has no product in it.
Apply a light moisturiser to the face but NO makeup.

Do I need my own lipstick and powder etc?
For weddings it is up to you if you would like to purchase your own lipstick that you can apply on the day
– Elise can discuss this on your trial date and suggest what is best suited to your skin type and tone.

Do you work with assistants for larger events/weddings?
Yes if your event requires an extra hand Elise will arrange an assistant who is fully qualified and experienced.

Do I need to have a trial?
For weddings you absolutely need to have a trial!
It is the perfect time to experiment with looks you have in mind opposed to being rushed on the day.
It’s recommended that the trial is done one month or more prior to the wedding and is a great idea to
plan the trial with your hen’s night or dress fitting so you make the most of looking and feeling fabulous.

For other special occasions trials are not required but Elise happy to do one if needed.

Elise will of course set aside a time that suits you, and as she is fully mobile it’s no problem to come to you.

How long will a trial take?
Makeup OR Hair only trials will take 1.5 hours, this gives you time to discuss what look you are after.
Hair and Makeup combination trials allow 2 – 2.5 hours.

Do you recommend getting eyelash extensions before my wedding day?
Getting eyelash extensions are a fantastic idea, as they last up to 3 weeks and can stay on looking fabulous through your wedding and honeymoon!
Elise is fully trained in eyelash extensions application so can do this a few days before the big day for you to get used to them.
Alternatively you could always opt for glue on lashes that just last just one day if required.

Do you travel to Waiheke?
Yes, Elise travels to Waiheke frequently in the Wedding season. An extra fee of $100 is required to cover parking, return ferry ticket
and travel time 1.5 hours. Plus you will need to arrange transport from ferry to location and back.

Do you do Makeup Lessons for adults or teens?
Yes, Elise is available for Makeup or Hair tutorials. Please make contact via phone or email for more information and a quote.
